salted bourbon caramels
For my father-in-law's October birthday, I tried my hand at candymaking using this recipe found on Pinterest. A good Kentuckian, I of course substituted bourbon for the Jack Daniels. The caramels came out delicious (if a little sticky) and looked so cute in a mason jar with a gold-painted lid (new obsession).
Q: Is 'Paint It Gold' the new 'Put a Bird on It'? I think yes.
